In 1988, Bagan Specialist Centre, a 150-bedded hospital was built in the midst of a thick, green forest and mangrove along the Prai River. Vision then was be the hospital of choice for the people of Butterworth and its surrounding region. Bagan Specialist Centre have embarked on a exciting journey to build a brand new building and refurbishment of the existing facilities to accommodate 330 inpatient beds, 9 operation theatres, 8 labour suites, 70 clinics and even wider range of specialist consultants.
