About Yew Lean Marketing Sdn. Bhd.
Yew Lean Marketing Sdn. Bhd. is established in the year of 1995 by Dato’ Loh Eng Kim, who is also the previous owner and chairman to a public listed company YLI Holdings Bhd.
Yew Lean core operation is mainly as a trading hub cum wholesaler that stock and supply sanitary-ware items. Not only as a distributor, Yew Lean also provides a wide range of general building materials, ranging from Cement (RC/Spun Pile, Culvert, Portland and special Cement), both Roofing, Wall and Floor Tiles, Ironmongeries, Door and Window Frames, Roofing Tiles and Roofing Truss, Paints and many more which is in the building material category.
Trading and supplying general building materials to the development sector, constructions sector, and not to forget chain of retailers are Yew Lean’s key role in the business operations.
HISTORY
Starting of YLM in Year 1995
The year of 1995 is where Yew Lean Marketing Sdn Bhd being incorporated by the same founder of previous owner and chairman to YLI Holdings Bhd, Dato’ Loh Eng Kim Starting of YLM in Year 1995.
(A brief glance of YLI Holdings Bhd.: Public listed company, and core business involves production and supplying ductile iron pipes to government sectors and construction sectors). Back to where it all started for Yew Lean, with only a few staffs of administration and storekeeper, it started small in its spectrum of activity as a trading house, distributor cum wholesaler that supply sanitary-wares and building materials to contractors, developers, and other hardware retailers which mainly focusing on projects spectrum. In year 2006 with its new showroom integrated, Yew Lean started to display various prestige brands of bathroom accessories and fittings, and faucets. Four (4) Years Later, From Year 2018 With the growing capacities and response to the need of PPR piping systems and plumbing, Yew Lean started its own factory in Penang, becoming its own manufacturer itself – OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for REHAU’s pipes in Malaysia.
As time passes by with the rising trends of improved environment, housings, laws and huge leap of new developments, Yew Lean gradually enhance its businesses by renovating its originally office base only it’s own showroom in the year of 2007.
2006
with its new showroom integrated, Yew Lean started to display various prestige brands of bathroom accessories and fittings, and faucets.
2010
with the growth in demand of our products and services, Yew Lean expanded its businesses and showroom by relocating its office from 31, Jalan Zainal Abidin, 10400 Penang to 71-A, Jalan Jelutong, 11600 Penang with wider store area and show room area. With the new office relocation, there are more products and brands displayed.
2013
With the demand, enquiries, and opportunities for PP-R piping systems and products in the market, Yew Lean started selling REHAU’s PP-R products in Northern market of Malaysia, before being appointed to become REHAU’s Authorized Authorized Distributor in Year 2014.
2014
Yew Lean is officially REHAU’s Authorized Distributor for its Raufusion and Raupiano Products in Malaysia.
2018
With the growing capacities and response to the need of PPR piping systems and plumbing, Yew Lean started its own factory in Penang, becoming its own manufacturer itself – OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for REHAU’s pipes in Malaysia.
2019
Additional store set-up in Kuala Lumpur, catering to southern market.
2023
Start-up production of PP-R Fittings.
